Electric
Seville is one of Ohio's eighty-five
non-profit Public Power Systems. RELIABLE - LOCAL - YOURS. We
currently service electric to 1751 customers and provide electricity to
all Village Street Lights, Village Buildings, Water Plant, Wastewater
Treatment Plant, and Ball-Field Lighting at no charge.
Reliable
Because our employees are local, our service
response time during outages is generally less than that of other
utilities. We have a locally sited diesel peak shaving generator station
that we can use in backup mode in the event that our purchased power
supply is interrupted.
Local
Public Power means local control and
accountability. You can contact someone in our town about service
concerns.
Yours
Rates, Policies, and Procedures are
determined right here in our community, not in some far away Board Room.
Water
We currently supply water to 1105 customers.
Our water supply is provided by two wells
located on Eby Road, south of the Village, near the Wayne/Medina County
Line.
Our well field is capable of pumping 750,000
gallons per day. Currently our average usage is less than 400,000 gallons
per day.
Our Water Treatment Plant
went into operation in May of 2006. Along with adding chlorine to the
water, a sand filter was installed to remove iron and arsenic
particles. The water also goes through a water softener.

Sewer
The Board of Public Affairs Wastewater
Treatment Plant is a sequencing batch reactor plant. When it was built in
1989, it was one of ten of its type in this part of the country. The plant
does an excellent job in treating the Sanitary Sewer to help keep our
environment clean.
We also charge our customers a flat fee of
$5.00 per month for Storm Sewers. This allows the Board of Public Affairs
to maintain and rebuild the Village Storm Sewer System as needed.
