The Seville Police Department is a dedicated unit, proud of the services we provide to our citizens, and thankful for the support our community has consistently given us.

The police department consists of 8 full-time police officers who provide police services 24 hrs. a day, 365 days a year.  In addition to our police officers, we also employ a full-time dispatcher and a part-time crossing guard, as well as several auxiliary police officers.

In January 0f 2006, the police department moved from its Spring Street address to the new municipal building at 120 Royal Crest Drive.  The increase in space and facilities greatly increased our capabilities.

We operate a fleet of 5 police cruisers.  Each of our cars is equipped with a video camera and laptop computer.  Cameras are used to record events for evidence in court, while the computers allow officers to complete reports, check licenses and to communicate with other officers and departments.  In addition to the other equipment carried in police cars, each of our cruisers is equipped with a defibrillator that can be used in the event of a heart attack.

The police department is an organization of veteran police officers, with 6 of the 8 officers having 15 or more years of service.

In addition to regular patrol duties, officers perform a variety of other services to our community.  Seville is one of the few remaining departments who still assist citizens who have locked their keys in their cars, provide vacation checks for residents while they are away, do fingerprinting for various employers and host of other activities not commonly associated with law enforcement agencies.
